I'll be in San Diego next week for work and cannot bear to miss more than a few days of swimming. Anyone know of some good groups in the downtown area?
I see USD (University of San Diego) is no longer offering masters workouts. I checked out the UCSD program (in La Jolla) and it looks pretty good-- anyone here swim with them? If so, can you provide input on what the program is like?
Anyone know of other programs (preferably offering 1.5 hour long practices) within 20 minutes of San Diego proper?
Thanks in advance!

Mission Valley YMCA is a great program for masters.
Caroline Krattli swims there - Matt Pentland & Alan Voisard coach.
I love the pool. They train outside, 25 yard pool, and there is also an indoor lap swim/teaching pool - and a jacuzzi.

Kind of under promoted next to Sickie The Great's UC San Diego Masters.

I swam with Sickie for 23 years. He, the UCSD facility (two 50M pools) and the program are awesome!
Either are a great choice, but Mission Valley Y is closest to downtown. Actually very close - and next to Old Town San Diego.
Great! Thanks! This gives me two options in case I can't make the drive out to La Jolla. I really appreciate the input and suggestions!
