I just looked at my results from 2008 and I was surprised by the number of events I swam. Not races, but individual events.
I swam 19 individual events + relays in a pool and 3 open water races during 2008. Some events I swam only once during the year (800m free + OW races) but others I swam 5-6 times.

mine were
SCM
800/400/200/100/50 free
400/200/100 IM
200/100/50 ***
200/100/50 back
100/50 fly
LCM
200/100/50 ***
plus I swam in 4x50/100/200 free and 4x50/100 medley relays.
Even if I remove the LCM it's still 16 events that I swam in 2008 and this year it might be more since I plan on swimming the 1500m and if the opportunity comes my way I might chance the 200fly. Plus I plan on swimming more LCM events this summer
This SCY season I'm aiming to do every event at least once in a meet. It's been A LOT of fun. I'm not sure if I'll try this every season, but mixing it up is great.
Me too. I love trying out all the events... except the dreaded 200 fly and 400 IM.
Kind of get a rush of joy out of doing it since I grew up as a dropdead sprinter!
I started early this season - traveled to Arizona, Las Vegas, and San Diego to swim all the events.
The only one left now is the 400 IM.
God help me on that one.
I did get DQd at SC Nationals last year in my jetlag state.

Can't decide what to narrow it down to and swim in Clovis though. Open to anything but the 200 Fly!
