My goal this weekend was to see where I was in the 200fr before zones. I would like comments on my 200 time and splits based on my other times at the meet.
The meet went 500fr, 100fr, 50fr, 200fr fairly evenly split over a 3 hour meet. I wanted to get 200 time from my 500, but I ended up eating my goggles on the start, so I swam cruise 200, 200 back ez, 100 fr just not to get last. My 200 time stopping to put my goggles one was 2:19, but I don't think that means much.
100fr: 55.86
splits: 27.42, 28.44
50fr: 25.30
200fr: 2:04.54
100 splits: 1:00.04, 1:04.50
50 splits: 28.61, 31.43, 32.41, 32.09
I will comment on what I think of my times in another post. I am interested in all comments and criticisms. Something that is painfully obvious to you will be something I did not think of.

I'd like to brag a bit about qbrain's swims. They are totally awesome.
The heater at the pool was not on for the first 2 hours. Apparently the switch is in a locked room and so no heat and 51 degrees as someone told me. I can't believe it was that cold, but it was cold. I put on every layer I brought, including my coveted After Meet Dry Clothing!!
It was so cold many people blew off the mid-meet warm up which was right before the 100 free. So I think qbrain's 100 free was very strong. The 50 free would have been the most ideal swim, and just to explain this meet's dynamic, the 200 free is the 2nd to last event and everyone is wiped out, blowing it off, or gone by then! So those 200 free splits were very solid!
Michelle is the very first live forum member I got to meet, and it was very cool to meet her. She is also very fast and swims without any splash.
The meet was freezing cold, it is not an ideal racing pool, and so many people scratched the 200 that I was almost swimming alone in my heat.
Given that, I think it is fair to analyze my 200 internally and in comparison to my other swims that day.
Good suggestions on the 100. I will take it out faster at Zones, especially since it is not on the same day as the 200.
As for the 200, I want to see the last 3 50s closer together, and Paul, that is a good suggestion on the streamlines. In full sprint mode, I tend to surface like a rocket, and I don't mean fast, I mean straight up. I will spend a lot of focus before Zones on my walls.
Thanks.
