Mens 45-49 200 Back/200 IM SCM World Records broken

An excerpt from an e-mail sent by Toshiyuki Saka to a friend of mine. Toshiyuki is the older brother of Taihei Saka who was a member of the Japanese swim team at the 1984 Olympics. Both of the brothers swim at the Taiwan International Masters Swimming Championship in October every year. They always cause big a sensation being such outstanding swimmers.
The long and the short of it is that Taihei broke the SCM world record for the 200 back by just under a second and the 200 IM world record by just over 5 seconds! Pretty impressive stuff.
If you google Japan at the 1984 Olympics you should come up with the Wikipedia page which will give you a run down of Taihei's results. He competed in the 100 and 200 Fly and the 3 relays.
My young Brother TAIHEI.
He made 2 world new records!

200m IM 2:10.24 world new record!
I checked on the Fina World Records page, but they are not up yet. Presumably they will only go up in November this year.

Syd,
That's a fantastic 200 back time. They both are.
Some people can't even do that time freestyle.
As a fellow misunderstood backstroker...a big high five to your brother.
