  • I know it's straying off topic, but did you see the 500 results from the ACC? Holy crap, that's fast! 1 McLean, Matt SO Virginia 4:13.90 4:10.00*D1-A 20 22.15 46.40 (24.25) 1:11.49 (25.09) 1:36.82 (25.33) 2:02.19 (25.37) 2:27.48 (25.29) 2:52.93 (25.45) 3:18.84 (25.91) 3:44.76 (25.92) 4:10.00 (25.24) Out in 46/1:36 in the 500? Incredible. Then again, he split 1:31 in the 800 FR, I guess 1:36 is just cruising. UVa's 800 FR was awfully fast too, 6:15.0 for an average of 1:33.7. I remember being completely thunderstruck when Rowdy went 1:33 in college (back in 1981 I think)...now we have four guys averaging that fast. ACCs are quick this year. A 23.2 50 *** split in the medley relay? Seven teams under 1:20 in the 200 FR...including DUKE, of all teams? One of the coaches at practice today said there were about 40 men who split 20.0 or better in relays. (I can't imagine how wavy that pool was!) I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around these times.
