2nd year and did 3900. it was a sufferfest but it was 175 more than last year so i'll take it.
things i'm glad i did: 1) did an afternoon swim. my afternoon swim times always tend to be faster than my morning times 2) did several sessions where i did timed 1000s to get a feel for things 3) started so that we could see the hands of the clock.
what was strange was that i felt like i was slowing down the whole time even though i kept telling myself to speed up the last 1/2 so i could negative split. turns out the splits were pretty even.
