are we sure that's Phelps?
If true, he seems to have a habit of screwing up in the very next Novembers after Olympics...
anyone here from the UK? How reputable is "news of the world"?

They still don't have a criminal case for ANY thing based on a photo, unless Phelps keeps talking they have nothing. Maybe still nothing even if he keeps talking. Where is his lawyer? Its just outta hand.
Bill! Michael needs your professional help - Now the SC sheriff is arresting people and "building a case" criminally against him - for what? Since when is a picture possession of either the drug or the paraphernalia? Those arrested say they are aggressively questioned about nothing but Michael. How is this treating every citizen equally under the law? Michael needs someone to tell him to Stop Talking. This is getting very out of proportion.
I know this sounds kind of mean, but I sort of hope that the person that took the picture is one of the eight that has been charged. Now that person will lose some money because they have to pay a lawyer to get them out of the mess.
If this person wasn't one of those charged, then I suspect he/she told on the eight that were charged. This person won't have any friends left and I suspect will receive some payback in some form.
The picture snapping scumbug, if he was arrested, will have to use the money he got from the scumbag British tabloid to pay his legal bills. Then, he would have been a jerk for nothing. Is the cell phone photographer a man or a woman?

I was thinking the same thing! I'm sure a lot of those people who are getting in trouble are pretty ticked at whoever took the pic and let it out! I wonder if they will narc on him or her if they are not on the list of 8 people.
