Anybody going to the SCY meet in Anacortes this weekend? Margrave/Knelson/Jazz? I'm down for the 200 free, 200 back, 200 fly, and the 100 & 400 IM's. Any gridges out there? (I should be easy pickings in the 200 free, since I have not trained for it... :whiteflag:)

I never did meet Allen, but I did meet Thrashing Slug.
Nice job on the relay, Allen. The 55+ Oregon team was next to my team (25+) in the free relay and we were pretty much neck-and-neck through 150 yards, then we had a ringer for our anchor leg that put it away, but still a very impressive swim by the Oregon guys! I see the old National record is a 1:35.36 by the Olympic Club. I'm sure they buried that by three seconds or so.
They indeed swam a great race and broke the record by 3 seconds or so. Nice for them that they had a team so close to push them and a very fast pool to swim in.
I'd like to second that it was a very well run meet. I was really happy I made the trip to swim and hope to meet more folks next time. I swam the 100 free, 50 fly, and 100 fly and swam close to PRs without being tapered. Nice to get some race experience in a fast pool.
