Just curious how many of you take naps. Personally, I love to take long naps whenever I can. On nights I don't swim I usually take a two hour nap when I get home from work. On days when I work from home I'll usually nap if I've got at least an hour of free time before I have to leave for the pool. This does cause me to miss workouts on occasion when I don't feel like getting up! I also like to take two hour naps in the afternoon on weekends when possible, even though I usually get eight hours of sleep or more on the weekend. As you might have guessed, I don't have any children!
I know some people rarely if ever nap and others prefer much shorter naps. How about you?
I'm exhausted when I get home from work, so a short nap (20 - 30 minutes) is almost always in order. BUT if I stop at the y for a swim on the way home I almost never have a nap. I guess I'm too wound up after swimming to feel tired.
I don't take naps during the week while working. But my favorite is to come home from a 2 hour Saturday morning practice, eat a big breakfast and nap for a couple of hours! It's a beautiful thing, the nap! I would take a nap every day if I had time!
I'll take 'em when I can get 'em. Usually a 1 hr. nap on Saturdays and Sundays, and maybe 1-3 20 min. naps late afternoons on weekdays. I've always napped since high school. I tend to run hard and sleep hard.
I only nap at work, where it does the most good. 20-30 minutes is great.
Awesome! Where I work it's actually written in the employee handbook that you can be fired for napping in your office. So we nap in co-workers offices.
