Just curious how many of you take naps. Personally, I love to take long naps whenever I can. On nights I don't swim I usually take a two hour nap when I get home from work. On days when I work from home I'll usually nap if I've got at least an hour of free time before I have to leave for the pool. This does cause me to miss workouts on occasion when I don't feel like getting up! I also like to take two hour naps in the afternoon on weekends when possible, even though I usually get eight hours of sleep or more on the weekend. As you might have guessed, I don't have any children!
I know some people rarely if ever nap and others prefer much shorter naps. How about you?

I've never been a napper. Even as a kid, I drove my poor parents crazy as I was always doing something instead of sleeping. ("Remember the time that we woke up and found that Leonard had taken the kitchen sink apart to see how the plumbing worked?") Even today, when my wife takes a nap on weekend afternoons, she will ask me what I intend to do while she's asleep and can't stop me from whatever bad idea crosses my mind.
At night I can lay down and fall asleep instantly and then get up at 4:30-5 AM without an alarm clock. The stars are beautiful at that hour on cold nights.
