You really think I should put more than 30 seconds of effort in learning to breath without a nose clip?
Yes, I'd give it at least five minutes :)
I think this is a skill lots of people have trouble with. I took scuba training with my wife a few years back and she couldn't do the skill where you simulate your mask coming off. Same kind of scenario. You're forced to breathe through your mouth only and I think lots of people naturally want to breathe in through their nose, too, and this isn't a good idea underwater!
Did you use the forearm fulcrum at all in the gear station? I've always wondered if getting these would be a worthwhile investment.
