Kind of strange to see a meet with my two alma maters (UNC undergrad, UF grad) and my current employer (UR). Looks like they posted some good swims. It's a nice pool.
Kristin Gary looked so good, we assumed she was in the 35-39 division. The official results had her at 41. Go figure!
I talked to Kristin when she was walking in, and she pretty much said this was going to be a tough one. She hadn't been in training mode for a bit, but she couldn't turn down Chuck Warner (Rutgers' coach) when he asked her to come give a record a try!
She and Benn were both gamers basically doing a time trial with everyone in the entire place watching them. Not like a normal swim during a Masters meet with other swimmers around you. They were awesome!
We'll have the swims up for on-demand viewing in the next day or two at www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/.../
Tomorrow is a long travel day, so we probably won't have it up right off the bat. But, keep an eye out.
Have not noticed any USMS swimmers in the Long Beach Grand Prix coverage...
The viewers have been around or just below 200 watching the live streaming video.
Very cool to have access to alot of the good swimming this weekend!
Thanks Swimming World, Floswimming and Swimnetwork.com!
How you do spoil us all!
You should have done the Masters TT!!!!!!
There were no time trials at this meet because they were not part of the sanction in the schedule of events. However, I did notice that the Big Man Cannonball Contest and Clown Diving were part of the sanction because they were in the schedule of events.
