just about any day of the week... any time of day.... one can find up to a dozen swimmers at aquatic park. many nekked.
it just goes to show that training in such conditions will prepare one to swim in such conditions. trying to make any activity totally risk free for everyone can only diminish the experience.
The first part of your statement is way more than true. Don't think the author realizes that everday we do something, there is a fair amount of risk involved.
