I thought about my resolutions long and hard last year. I never achieved any of them in the past, so I just resolved to Be Resolute ahead of New Years. That's how I started swimming in November instead of this month, that's how I joined this forum in Dec '08 instead of Jan '09, that's how I joined Masters last month instead of this one, and that's how I made my goal of 200 pounds (lost 25 lbs since Nov) by the new year. Tomorrow or perhaps the day after I will officially be able to put a 1 before two 9s as my weight. :D I can no longer fit into my 38-waist pants which is why I've been stuck wearing an old pair of 36-jeans for days on end now. Judging by the fact that I still have a gut and a butt, one of my new resolutions is to slip comfortably into a 34-waist by the end of this month. If I have one resolution pertaining to swimming, it is this: swim faster faster. I rather like that little phrase. I'm still way too new to all this stuff to be very specific, but I'm pretty sure that when I come to decisions, I'll be able to sniff out all the right choices as pertains chasing that resolution. Oh, and always have fun.
