So I was talking to someone about pools to swim at earlier, especially ones that won't suddenly become unavailable due to uncontrollable circumstances like weather (indoor pools). Then it came time for me to drive over to the CC for my daily swim, and then I get there, and I see the message I forgot all about... "Closed 12/22/08 to 1/5/09"....
:badday:

CC keeps the pool too warm anyway.
I looked at the YMCA near me... they keep their pools at 84-85 (indoor) and 81-82 (outdoor). Isn't that a bit warm? I looked on the satellite and their outdoor pool is like three lanes wide too.
So, in this thread, I beseech all of you to help me find the best, most available, most accommodating place to swim in all of the valley. Any quick ideas? Anyone from around here know the good places? Any from other regions ever do a meet here and know a good spot?

Stanford is about a half an hour away and with my school schedule plus work thrown into the mix, that would be real tight, I reckon. But it is a mecca, on the other hand.
Yeah, I've been looking over that list carefully for a little while now. Is that really *all* the possible places to swim, though? I mean, San Jose is by itself a city of almost a million people, and yet it has such a small selection to choose from...
As for Rinconada, I don't even know where that is. I assume the name refers to the location they're from.
