Our lovely swimming goddess CreamPuff, AKA, S(he)-Man, and possibly various other aliases including Jana Jameson, has come up with a sensational idea.
A USMS calendar featuring buff members of our ranks.
I will be happy to appear on the cover of this wearing an old Speedo. However, sales may be improved by other choices.
If you are at all interested in participating, please consider emailing me a photo of yourself in as compromising a view as you feel comfortable with. For some, this may mean an action shot wearing four or five stacked B70s.
For others, it may mean something entirely different.
Please be advised. Though I am not a professional photo editor myself, I know of such people. Do not worry about where your photos might end up. Do not feel "embarrassed" or "awkward" or "degraded" either. Think of me as simply that avuncular figure that appreciates the beauty of a spectacularly well-excercised body with a fine sheen of sweat thereupon!
Note to the powers that be: If the pictures are what I hope they will be, I will post the calendar on Facebook, not USMS, and I will also take the USMS title off. So please! I have not committed any crimes yet!
Don't remove this post until I actually do!
Send photos for consideration in the 2009 Masters Swimming Calendar to me by email at jamesthornton1@comcast.net and I will have my twin brother, an artistic genius and photoshop pro, put the calendar together.

Jim-
I have a great Team Hottub group picture taken at LCM nationals. There's cheesecake & beefcake, so I propose it as the cover shot.
It's on my facebook photo page. Can you grab from there?
Fortunately for y'all, I have no swim photos. Only Tris.
Actually, given that Jim was heading the project, I thought it was a gag.
Do we buy the calendar and do the proceeds benefit USMS?
I was watching the video and mentioned to my wife, look, that guy swimming near the fish looks just like me! Well, guess what, it was me! Thanks, Jim, for including me in this elite group. I am at 3:23....thanks, billy fanstone
If that wasn't an advertisement for master's swimming, I don't know what is.
Great job Jim and thanks to everyone who donated (or had stolen) a photo. There were some really cool shots in there. I am impressed.
It is here!
Actually, it is also at my Vlog, which I really hope my fellow forumites will visit and leave praise for, always remembering the wisdom of Bambi's friend, Thumper, who said, "If you can't say anything nice, have your vocal chords surgically removed."
Vlog: forums.usms.org/blog.php
What "it" is not, however, is a calendar. Instead, I took the pictures my fellow forumites emailed me, plus some I pillaged from my Facebook swimming friends' photo albums, plus various action shots of me and Dara Torres (more on this at the vlog), etc. to compile this homage to 2008.
I truly hope you enjoy this and find in at least some of these assembled images a little reinforcement for your love of both swimming and swimmers.

Happy New Years to one and all, and have a great year of swimming in 2009.
