  • To be included in the database, a link is not enough. One has to submit the Meet Manager file. Strictly speaking, IDs are not needed to be included in the Current Rankings, but if they are omitted the swimmer will show up as "unverified." This was the dual-sanction meet, right? I know in the past when I've submitted USA-S meets with masters swimmers, I've "cleaned it up" creating a new MM file with only the masters swimmers, and substituting USMS IDs and teams for the USA-S IDs/teams. That works if there are only a few masters swimmers. If there are more than a few, then it is more tedious (I have to do this with a couple "Recognized" meets we have every year). How many masters swimmers were there? If it is only a handful -- maybe the ages are sufficient to ID them -- then the IDs can be looked up in the national registration database. I've had meets in the past where many of the IDs were missing or were incorrect. That's what makes the job such fun. The link posted on the meets results page is www.ncmasters.org/res13806.html. It says Meet Manager on the link, but I don't have any idea what that means. It looks there are quite a few masters swimmers whose times have disappeared. It stated on the meet entry form that the times would be submitted to USMS and for TT consideration. I'm going to attempt to find the email address of the meet director and email him. But, if he doesn't clean up his mess, the times are just lost? It really seems like this situation should not exist. And, really, Geek should not be allowed to lie about his age like that. haha
