  • 14th in 50 Free seems to be my highest. See what happens in the next 2 weeks. 15th or better would be very nice to acheive. Considering that my time would have been 10th last year. Dang these fast swimmers. Hey man, you are still doing much better than I am. My best so far is 25th in the 100 br. But I have made great strides in my weight loss (-50 lbs!) and my lipid profile. A year ago, I was a walking heart attack with enough cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose for several people. My family doctor wanted to pump me full of drugs but my endocrinologist wanted me to give diet and exercise one serious try. So, I did. My overall cholesterol is in the 140s with a LDL/HDL of 1.5, which is about the same as my triglycerides/HDL ratio. My BP went from 120/80 to 100/60 and my rest heart rate cooled from the 60s into the 40s. I may never catch Roque Santos in the breaststroke and I've been trying ever since we were kids. But at least I will live long enough to keep trying. Thank you masters swimming!!!
