So I would be cautious about over-interpreting the "Current Event Rankings." The meet result database is not complete and has errors. The list is just not checked as rigorously as the submissions for Top Ten. Some meets may be missing, too.
This happened with respect to the September Sprint Shootout in NC. A link was submitted, but masters swimmers were not ID'd and the meet results are not in the database.
