That LMSC's top ten recorder is your best source. Look him/her up, or ask the meet director.
I am surprised no one has even mentioned Sheri Hart. She broke WRs (35-39) in 50/100 back both here and at Ron John. Notably, her 100 back (200 back split) of 1.02.44 is under the 2009 World Trials cut. Using Swimming World Magazine's times converter, it would be 1:03.20 LCM. That is under the 2008 Olympic Trials cut of 1:04.59.
I'd rather not have anyone posting about her getting split times. That is well, well covered under muliple other threads. She only swam the first day of the meet. She had a 6 month old, 3 year old, and 6 year old with her on that trip.
But most amazing of all, she did all this AND I got her xmas card, postmarked 12/08 from Long Beach. Now I am really in awe.

It is an incredible swim, all right...but if the time converter is saying that, it is dead wrong. There is FAR more than 0.8 sec difference between SCM and LCM in 100 back, unless one is doing open turns while waving to the crowd.
We'll have the full list of world record swims this week on www.swimmingworldmagazine.com.
We just had to wait for the official list to come from SPMA.
You can also go there to see stories about other world records broken. Just click the "Masters News" tab under "More News."
Sheri Hart is an incredible athlete no doubt...I've had the pleasure of getting my ass kicked by here in workouts as well as meets!
Another incredible female athlete is Noriko Inada who trains/coaches at Brophy. Noriko kicked the crap out of almost all the women AND men last summer at masters nationals....
Nori is a 3 time Olympian from Japan who at 30 years old, training 5x a week without weights qualifed first (at 30 years old) in the 100 back at 53.3 for this past weeks US nationals...ended up swimming about the saem time in finals coming in 6th.
Nori & Kohei both train VERY differently than most elite masters and/or US swimmers i've come across...about 70% of the weeks training is technique based with speed work done on weekends at meets...usually with a specific "task" for each swim. For example if front half speed is the focus than they enter the 100 back/fly and swim the first 50 at "50" race pace then shut down and come home on cruise speed with perfect technique...its been fascinating taining with them!
Here is a list of the times that broke the records (either USMS or World) as listed in the 2008 Rule Book. Therefore, this list will include some records that are only USMS records, and others that are both World records and USMS records. It will also include swims where the record was broken earlier in the year (or late last year). If anyone sees any errors or omissions please let me know!

Incredible amount of records. The most ever for a regional meet???
Don't know, but it is the most I've ever had to submit for one meet, not including Nationals.

The really incredible thing is the old guys setting records! It is hard to imagine anyone over 60 being able to stay awake, much less set a swimming record. Hurrah for the wheelchair division!
It is a pretty fast pool.
