Perhaps you are correct, we should eliminate the chemistry department. After all, you weren't able to get drunk and laid due to someone becoming a scientist.
You are only half right. I was a chemistry (and music) major in college and we used to buy this really cheap wine called "Vino Fino" and then distill it out to nearly pure alcohol. Getting drunk was easy, having "relations" was... impossible, however.
Sadly, some things never change.
