The masters meet in California, does anyone have a link?
  • would love to see it, as well, but I don't think they're posting results online until after the meet. Check www.lbgrunions.com maybe Sunday night or Monday.

  • Chris did swim the 100 back ... he also broke his old record by over 1 second and looked fantastic, but Ross was faster. It was an amazing race to watch.

Any SCM swimmers still in town on monday morning who would be patient to share a training session? Well, not training, but a competitive training regimen I suppose. I could benefit from a focused swim, why not try to poke some swimmers while the pro's are in town? I haven't swam a bit (because of the SCM) but I can hang ... maybe? Patient enough to do a mini clinic? (after all, you've infiltrated my pool ha ha) I'll try to be awake (trouble with that lately), but If I see an inviting post i won't miss the opportunity. Masters classes just don't mesh well for me at the moment (work hrs n such) so any help I can get i'd appreciate. I need it. Should have posted this sooner, but was a bit distracted by my RICA test argh.

This guy just demolished all of the Paul Smith records... including Chris Stevenson's 100 back time. Chris lowered his own records in the 50 and 200 back. Too bad he didn't swim the 100.
  • I can tell you Jim Clemmons is on fire.I think he has PBs in all his events.Last year I had the AA time in the 100M BR in 1:15.20.This year I went 1:14:66 but that dratted Clemmons went 1:14.44(3 heats before mine, the sandbagger) Congrats Jim,you earned it.Jeff Commings went 1:01 for the 100 BR,talk about smoking.

Can only tell you the results I remember - Jeff Commings had a ridiculous 100 *** in 1:01.4 (not sure about the tenth) Bob Strand broke the 100 *** and also the 50 Free WR Jenny Cook dropped the 200 Fly record 50+ Laura Val dropped quite a few records Rich Abrahams just missed his 50 Free by 3/100 - still 24.9 is amazing Mike Shaffer broke the 800 Free in the 40+ 8:31 Jeff Commings kicked my behind in the 200 IM (you are in trouble when the 1:01 breaststroker leads you BEFORE the ***) - but I managed to hang on for a record 2:06 for Jeff - 2:07 for me I got the 50 free record in 23.25 - my other record were pulverized by Mike Ross - who apparently is getting faster as he gets older... he went a 50.4 and 1:50.0 at the other meet That's all I can remember - I think the WR record total is at about 20 for the meet - sorry if I am leaving anybody out.
