On a flight from Washington to Atlanta today I started talking to the guy next to me about sports. Turns out he is the partner to Michael Phelps representative! His partner is the guy that was on the 60 Minutes interview showing Michael Phelps the deal. Their firm also represents Hoff and others. It was really neat talking to this guy. Too bad I couldn't have met the real swimmers, though.
Yes, business partner. He's happily married with 4 kids (one swims). He does the financial end of things while the other guy (Pat, I think his name is) does the public things). He said one time Michael called because he lost his wallet. Frank said "call the credit card companies". Michael just asked him to do it so he did. Frank said he was the one that bought the condo in Baltimore, too. I did try to get some swag but no luck. Darn!
