Or maybe I should say "my freestyle is slower than backstroke"...
I learned backstroke the last (only recently) but it seems it is my fastest stroke now:rolleyes: (the other two being *** and free). My freestyle seems to be the slowest  . I say "seems" because I didn't actually use a timer (so I can't tell how many seconds), but just according to my feeling. Fact is, it's actually hard for me to swim backstroke slowly. I can swim *** and free in idle pace, but not backstroke.
I don't know whether I should be happy or unhappy about it. Backstroke, in any case, has become my favorite since I started to "get into" it. On the other hand, there is obviously something for me to do to speed up the free.
I wonder if anyone has ever been in such a stage in your history of swimming?

I put up a thread about my breaststroke being faster than my freestyle. It turned out that there were some things about my freestyle that I needed to change, and once I did, it became the faster stroke. If you backstroke is faster than your freestyle, you're probably doing something wrong. You should really time it to see, because feelings can be misleading. Most of the time, when I feel like I'm going really fast, I'm going slow as hell, but when I feel like I'm going slow, I'm going fast.
