I did a cool survey last week with my age-groupers; I asked them all to tell me what they thought about when they swim in practice, and what they think about when they swim in a meet. I got answers ranging from boyfriends/girlfriends, homework, and music.
So, I'm curious....what do all of you think about when you swim?

When racing anything over 100, somewhere around the 250 mark I start thinking,
"Why the h**l do I keep signing up to swim this crap?
If you'd just sign up for 50s you'd be done already!"
When swimming 100-200 distances, I'm thinking (while having an asthma attack),
"What was I thinking?
This hurts! I'm not a sprinter!
You like long controlled swims,
not this crap that makes your whole body hurt."
