I have had two hip replacements and three back fusions. As a result the only exercise I can do is swimming and aquafit. I have developed an allergy to the chlorine...itchy eyes and sinus irritation. I don't want to give up my swimming. Can anyone give me some advice on lessening the symptoms. The only pools here are chlorinated, I wear goggles and use Flonase for my sinuses. Thanks:drown:

This might sound gross but you aren't allergic to the chlorine. You might be allergic to the product that is the reaction between chlorine and urine. That has a protein in it chlorine doesn't. You also could be having a interaction to something. this is how you have reactions to things like aspirin.
