Where to Swim?

I travel a lot and have found the "place to swim" section really frustrating. Many of the listings are way out of date, and emails and phone calls go unanswered. This past week I tried to swim at the Wheaton Sports Center in Wheaton IL, only to be told that the masters hadn't started yet and they would not sell me a single day pass. Is there anywhere else I can go to get current info on where to swim? I'm heading to Williamsport, PA this coming week and so far have found nothing. :badday:
  • Will you have a car in Williamsport? You could try Lock Haven University, but it is about 30 min drive. There's info here on the Zimmerli Pool: www.lhup.edu/.../index.htm My sister went there, and I'm from not too far away. I remember seeing the pool when I visited, nothing great, but I'm sure could do the trick. You could also try Susquehanna Univ, a bit further away (about an hour): www.susqu.edu/.../indoor.htm Also, there's a Y right in Williamsport: williamsportymca.org/index.php Heck, if you have more time, I'd venture to State College and see how the Penn State pools are.
  • Try this site. State College is 60 miles from Williamsport. Although Penn State has a stellar masters program, I don't think that it is worth the drive if you have a car in Williamsport. http://www.swimmersguide.com/

Thanks for the site. Looks pretty good. Generally, if I'm traveling, it's for business, so traveling more than 15 minutes to find a pool is not workable. And in some cases, I don't have a car.
