One 100 free to go in set. Two open lanes.(no lane lines in pool) Noodler comes over to stand in my lane to talk with friend. Pool is set at 85 degrees cause all the noodlers say it is to cold otherwise. I complain to guard, am told, "well there are a lot more of them then there are lap swimmers" Wont be if they keep this up. UGH! :frustrated:

  • As I mentioned before I'm not against noodlers. I'm against noodlers and swimmers on one lane. I'm actually against slow and fast swimmers on the same lane and it's not something I have against slow or fast swimmers. IMO such separation to slow and fast lanes in the pool would simplify life for everyone. Actually there's something I hate more than swimmer and noodler on the same lane: and that is a slow swimmer who accelerates when you overtake him. That actually creates extremely dangerous situation when you actually can injure another swimmer moving opposite direction and yourself. These people know they are slow swimmers but don't want recognize that and absolutely don't think about others. Amen to that. I don't know why people try to speed up when you are lapping them, obviously you're going faster in order to catch up and get on their feet! I also dislike it when you're on someones feet and close to the wall and they go ahead and turn instead of waiting to let you get around them. I swim with tons of people who are faster than me, if I behaved like that they'd probably kick me out of the lane.
