Is this pool fit for competition? Phelps vs Cavic in a $1,000,000 rematch at the Venetian, anybody?
Wow, that would be great! People staying in the north side of the Venetian tower and the south side of the Palazzo tower could watch from their air conditioned rooms. The celebs and other money people could step out from TAO Beach and watch. Then there is plenty of room on the pool deck for bleachers. But don't quote me on the 50m. It just seems like it may have been that big. I've never had exact figures.

re: "Million dollars for a sub minute event?" Hehe, that is what we specialized in Vegas! UFC fights, Mike Tyson fights, the high roller tables and slots. The key is to have an hour or two of non-headliner competitions prior. That way people can't say "Hey, I was robbed!" The comeback has always been, "No, your ticket also covered the 1-2 hours of events prior. :)

Phelps has done the 200 yard *** in 1:57. He did a 1:10 split in his 400 IM.
His technique is very good. And those size 17 feet are perfect for the breaststroke kick.
