I quit swimming in my junior year of Div. III college swimming (Trenton State College, now The College of New Jersey) back in 1993. I got back into the pool last summer. I swim about 3 times a week and lift about 2 (so I chose, 1-3 years, 3-4x a week). It's nice to be swimming on my own terms. I'm a little amazed that I now happily get up at the crack of dawn to go swimming where morning practices were one of the things I hated most as a kid.
