I recently decided to change from a non chlorine pool, and have chosen to use chlorine again. I shocked the pool with chlorine, after waiting some days, but the result is green and cloudy water. Where did I go wrong?

Chlorine does not always kill algae which can turn a pool green. Look into algicide especially if you are doing a conversion. Additionally the cloudy look if it is milky cloudy check the pH as that is probably cause sediments to form and hardern. Good luck.
