:frustrated:
Hello everyone:
I just recently came back to serious swimming after a close to twenty year hiatus. My coach makes us use those swim paddles to increase the strenght of our stroke during our training. I started using the regular Speedo Training paddle provided at our gym, but found it felt unnatural when the hand was entering the water. Often the paddle would slip from my hand. I then decided to purchase my own paddle and bought a Speedo Power Paddle. I have found, however, that the problem has not resolved.
I have looked around, but the paddles I have seen (even on the web)are very similar. Does anyone know if there is better paddle out there that is more slip resistant and allows for a more natural feel of the hand?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

This is probably a problem with your hand entry, not the paddles.
These are the paddles I have used...They don't give me the same shoulder pressure that the others tend to, and I actually sometimes prefer wearing these over not wearing paddles-I bring them with me to meets to use during warm up sometimes because they really help with the feel of the water. I find them quite natural feeling but, that could just be me.

Shaman,
Thanks for your response. You are very right, the slipping problem was due to my hand entry. However, I am still trying to find a paddle that is more flexible and makes the stroke feel a bit more natural.
