If you could win one, and only one Olympic event, what would your choice be?
For me it would probably be the Marathon.

I have to agree with the Marathon. I still remember Frank Shorter's entrance into the stadium.
I used to run (back in the '70s and '80s) but only did 10K's and 5-milers. Never fast, but enjoyed the challenge of PB.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with type-II diabetes. started exercising again but can't run (I'm REALLY slow now!) so I started walking, found walker-friendly local marathon, and in February 2003 I completed the 26.2 miles in 6:59 (yeah, 6 Hours:59 minutes). Felt good to do it. I will not be doing another!!
