....our women are disappointing. Youth is not helping us. Good swims from Magnuson, Soni, Coughlin, and Torres. Any others?

I don't know the exact stats but I think the Canadian team is making a lot more finals than in Athens and there are a ton of Canadian records being set, although most swimmers are using the new suits for the first time so one wonders how much that has to do with the records. Hayden not getting into the finals in the 100 was a big blow, the 5th in the men's 4x200 was a let down, although we had two very good legs plus a great leg from Hayden. Brown coming in fourth when his semi time would have got him silver was a bummer. But I think the real dark cloud is just that Canada hasn't won a medal in anything yet and the media is going through its usual mid-games doom and gloom panic. Hopefully the rowers will come though... Ryan Cochrane has swum a 14:50.65 this year, that gives him an outside chance in the 1650.
