Need a new country !!! - I can not take the German swimmer's excuses any more. In case you are wondering why you don't see any German swimmers in any of the finals - it is because they are ok at their Nationals and sometimes at the Euro Meets, but they have blown it now for 3 Olympics in a row.
The newest excuse by a World Champion backstroker "it's not my fault that everybody else is swimming faster now" ???????????? AHHHHHHH WHAT .....
The best one so far was the European record holder in the 100 back showing up with a full beard in prelims and not making it to the Semis.
Also "my people" seem to be one of the few - no cap - holdouts. All that shaving and suit is just a lot of talk ???
I've been surprised at how well the Euros have been swimming, from the French, to the Finns, Dutch, Brits, and even Germans. Russians are doing great too.
