An experiment to try at USMS Nationals (maybe)

It occurred to me today that it might be interesting to run an experiment at Nationals. The question to try to answer is whether or not officials can see a dolphin kick before the pull on breaststroke starts and/or turns. To answer this you'd need some volunteer swimmers who a decent breaststrokers, the requisite bevy of officials and one person to decide randomly if any given person will use an early dolphin kick, a legal dolphin kick or no dolphin kick on each start or turn. Each swimmer would start from the blocks, swim one length + one turn and pull out. The officials would mark who they saw do early dolphin kicks. After a number of runs, you compare what the random decider person had each swimmer do and what the officials marked. Simple enough? Good. I won't be there, so let me know how it turns out. :wiggle: Skip
