Magnini 2nd leg in 24.19 :notworthy:
Bousquet will not compete in 100 but 46.63 !!
Leveaux OR but he'll not get the chance too.
Cielo is in the game.
USA WR, solid but a little "unspiring" performance...
Tonight the gold will be wide open leading the way the France with Gilot and Bernard (with Leveaux and Bousquet on the paper all under 48s !! ), The Aussie with Sullivan.

Bousquet is a relay giant. Great split by Magnini as well.
I'm pretty sure NBC shows all of the swimming semis/finals live in Eastern and Central time. Not that we're bitter way out west. Goodness, no.
I really liked that they repeatedly said it was live when I knew the results.
I am excited for the finals of this tongiht. this will be aired on tv right? im CST and it says that swimming starts at 9pm idk if thats right. I just want to watch the race before i here about it online

This is gonna be an old fashioned shoot out. I have no idea who is gonna pull this off but I have a feeling that the Aussie's are gonna take it. They seem to have the most room to improve with those very cautious relay exchanges.

Thank goodness for the Canadian network that my cable company carries. They saved the day by showing events live in Athens 2004 and they are doing it again this year.
I think it comes down to the roster changes. The US will put Phelps, Lezak, and Weber-Gale in tonight. And keep Jones?
The French will put in Bernard and Gilot. They'll be replacing a 49+ split with a 46+, a low 48 with a sub 48.
Bousquet's split was incredible.
I would guess that Phelps goes mid 47 flat start, Lezak and W-G 47 low or better and Jones mid-47. Maybe one USA guy breaks 47?
I've been calling for Phelps to lead off in WR or near WR time. This might be the bets race in history, 3 or 4 teams could break the world record. How often has a country broken the WR with their #4-7 swimmers? Crazy.
