The olympians have another type of pressure. Not only do they have to get through the heats in the EVENING, they have to then produce a urine sample, one amongst the many many swimmers who have swam in heats in that session, they then have to get back to the village, relax, get some shuteye, and get up again a few hours later to swim in a final of their life, if they were good enough to secure a berth.
The drug testing is going to be more intense, so will take longer. Changing to having the finals on in the morning is not good for these swimmers, I do not think.
They say evening finals will be hard to adjust to,but I'm not sure. For most swimmers their main workout is in the morning so they are used to swimming then.I do think it unfair to the people there to have AM finals, but money talks.
