  • I'm not looking forward to seeing the Bataan Death march that I experienced on the last 25m of both my 100 Back and 100 Free swims. And I know the zig zag swim in my 50 Back is just gonna be sooooo special. right rope left rope right rope left rope. I crashed into a laneline one time swimming 100 LCM backstroke outdoors. I realized that my racing goggles greatly limited my peripheral vision, so I couldn't see the lanelines all that well, and of course I didn't have a ceiling over me to use as a point of reference, so I got off course and crashed. At Portland I competed in larger goggles that allowed me to see the lanelines better. I could also see more of my competitors in butterfly events, etc. Now I take a close look at any pair of goggles before I buy them. Some of them seem to be designed for horses...
