reading the heat sheet makes me wish I'd signed up
Alison,sorry I didn't see you.I didn't see many people,as I was in the front lobby of the swim center.It was the only air conditioned area.I asked one of the officials if I could stay there and he said "sure,but don't tell too many people as it is a work area."
That reminds me of nationals in Tempe '03. The locker room was (and is) the only air-conditioned area around. I set up my chair in the locker room and got some looks, but by the end of the meet, it was packed with people sitting, trying not to notice the horror around them--old people trying to fit their shriveled parts into suits several sizes too small. I wasn't supposed to tell but I think Paul Smith was in there just to "compare apples." :wiggle:
