Swimming Facilities & Authorized Speedo Shop in San Diego

I have been following the forums for a while but this is my first post. After 42 years I am starting to swim again, in part because of of the forum, and in the process of rediscovering the associated great feelings. I live in South America and will be visiting San Diego to attend a professional conference in the Coronado area shortly. My idea initially was to make use of this occasion to order a Speedo technical suit (FSII) and have it shipped to the hotel, but from reading the forum I think it may be wiser to try them for size. So I will appreciate information on authorized Speedo dealerships in the area. Also maybe someone could point me to a swimming facility available to the general public in the area. Thanks in advance for the tips.
  • Coronado has a great 50 meter public pool just down the street from the Hotel Del (heading south) a couple hundred yards. It is $4.00 a session or something like that for non-residents. Call them for hours for open swimming.

The store I frequent is in Clairemont Mesa, about a 25 minute drive from Coronado...easily accessilble from Highway 52. Paradowski's Swim. I'm sure if they aren't able to help, they can at least point you in the right place. The owner and employees are all coaches and swimmers and are very helpful. www.paradowskisswim.com/

Thanks to Anita and Matulaitis for the tips ! I checked the pool in Google E. Looks great and is only 3 miles north from where I'm staying at (Loews Coronado). Will check the store too !

There is an ecclectic swim shop in Coronado on Ornage Ave called Dales, you must ask for what you want, the serious swim stuff is not out front (that's all beach wear). Paradowski's has tech suits to try on, I'm not sure about Dale's
