Has Anyone Tried the SWIMMAN Ipod or the H20 Waterproof Case

I'm dying to use an ipod while I swim. Has anyone tried any of these devices? The H20 is a waterproof case with earphones.....just bought it but hope that wasn't a mistake..(got online..haven't received to try out yet!) LMK!!!!! THANKS!!!
  • Hey all... my hubby got me a Swimman for my birthday... tried it out this past Saturday. I was amazed at how clear the sound was. I did not have any problems with the earphones. All in all... I am in love with this thing! I give it two thumbs up. Isn't it awesome? I rocked out on mine today and swam a LOT!!! Makes it so much more fun! Just kinda look like a dork with it though. I get lots of stares too. I think people are amazed it's waterproof!

I currently use the H20 shuffle case and H2O H3 headphones. I do have an otterbox for my Nano as well and they all seem to work fine. Water does get in my ears sometimes, but I can still hear the music, just lower volume...I have been tempted to get the Swimman earbuds just to check them out...have to wait for 99 bucks to find me though :)

Careful, someone else on here said there's eventually leaked and ruined the ipod! OUCH! Get the swimman, it's awesome! The earbuds work incredible too (with the Neosporin of course!!!)
  • Yeah...I saw that..it does say to make SURE you put more silicon about every 5 times you remove the shuffle...personally I don't like that, but I have also read some negative stuff on the Swimman...might send it off one day to get the treatment done on the one I have I'm sure you can find negative stuff on all of the waterproof music contraptions...I tried a few and just personally LOVE the Swimman. The sound itself is just as if you were out of the water!!!! WHOO HOO...I can really get into swimming with my tunes to help out.

  • Ooh, where do you attach the headphones? Maybe that has something to do with why I can't keep them in. I hate to order the smaller ones and have those not work either. On the google straps but like on the back of the head almost so they come forward. Give them some GIVE so you have room to put them in the ears easily. Hope that makes sense! Why, where have you been putting them? If you have smaller ears, then the smaller buds are what you need! Oh and USE THAT Neosporin. I bring it out a leave it by the poolside. If you keep taking the earphones in and out of your ears you have to constantly reapply the Neosporin (gives it the suction). I'm sure the pool faculty loves me putting Neosporin in the pool.hehe.

  • Has anyone tried the iSH2-Waterproof Headset (Natalie Coughlin Signature Series)? Is it the same as the H2O? I just got a promotional email about it, and while I have a swimman (not a fan of the headphones), I'm curious about this one. The headphones look more like traditional ear buds and have the option of being mounted on a frame. www.h2oaudio.com/.../product.php Otherwise, did anyone opt for the smaller swimman earbuds? Mine just seem huge and won't stay in very well. The cord just isn't very bendy, and is very awkward to work with. Thanks! YES! I HAD to use the smaller earbuds on the Swimman. The larger ones didn't work at all for me. And it's all in WHERE you attach the headphones to the goggles. I just LEAVE the headphones attached also so I don't have to keep putting them off and on the googles. They are too difficult to do that!! Good luck! I haven't tried this gadget though....

I bet they mind it a whole lot less than some of the other stuff that goes in there. *giggle* Honestly, I don't really pay attention to wear I clip them . . . I just stick them on. I'll have to pay more attention next time. Thanks for the help - off to order the smaller earbuds. . .
