Like you've never lost a race, Matt? It happens. Even to Michael Phelps. Yet, it happens to Aaron Peirsol and everyone acts like it's over for him.
The 100 back final should be one of the best finishes of the trials based on what we've seen so far. No doubt, it will be hundredths of a second that separate the top two from the field. IMO underestimating a gold medalist and WR holder is a bad idea. Yes, he could get beat, but why is everyone acting like it's a foregone conclusion?

Like I said, Peirsol is favored to win in my book...but, I can understand the skepticism that others might have given the events of the past year in Peirsol's signature events.
