That 400 free race last night was something else. 3 guys going 3:43,and Vendt got the short end. Amazing. Then I thought Thorpe's WR of 3:40. Even more Amazing. Then I thought, he was not wearing today's technology. Even more Amazing. He was quite a talent.

Perhaps that indicates that today's technology doesn't have quite the impact that a lot of people say it has!

Thorpe who???
I am kidding. I was amazed by his stroke when I first saw him at the Syndey Games.

Or slower, since the LZR doesn't cover and compress shoulders and arms like his addidas full-body suit did?

Or does it really matter? If this new suit is so fast, then we should expect people to be closer to thorpe's wr. Yet, the world is still well over 3 seconds in the rear.
So, why not give credit to Thorpe for an outstanding wr and not some suit.

i think the better question would be how fast would he go if he were able to do 4 more years of training and work on his walls/SDK's as phelps has. probably high 1:42/low 1:43 and mid-3:38.
