What is the longest you have ever swam in a single workout or practice?
For me, it was 5700 yards.
I'm sure a lot of you have some pretty impressive totals:)
The Mt. Hood Masters in Gresham Oregon (home of this year's LCM nationals!) had a Christmas season tradition of 100x100's in the indoor 25 yd pool. The lanes would set their own sendoffs so everyone could participate in however much of the set they wanted. I would do mine in sets of ten x 100 on a comfortable send off so I could switch strokes, then take a break, get a drink, take a potty break if needed. Then we would all go to one of the swimmer's house for a big brunch. It was a lot of fun, even the swimming! Usually the first 50 I would do all freestyle just to get them under my belt, then maybe 100 IM, backstroke, kick with fins, mix it up.
