I'm a new swimmer.. just started logging the laps in the pool.
What does excessive chlorine exposure do to you?
Ex. My hair is already frizzy and skin is dry. Any other side effects? What can I do to counter these?

for me i have a soap and shampoo that work very well for me, but to avoid any side effects i would suggest a nice long thorough shower at the pool right after your done.. before the pool water can dry on your body. I still get a little dry skin but I have found taking the shower at the pool helps me IMMENSELY. and besides... you dont have to run up your water bill.
and the time spent in the shower right after swimming can help your suit too rinse it out well before you start the shower and use the suit dryer if they have it, and/or let it hang dry and when your done showering youll be able to pack a clean dry suit in your bag...
as i know weather its dry or wet i always forget its in there, (i have pictures of my frozen suit i had to put on before a meet in febuary cause i packed a wet suit and it froze in the car... )
Cheers.
