Hello ladies,
Have you had this happen...you get attached to a good product, then they suddenly stop making it? My fave shampoo (Redken's UV Rescue) has been discontinued.... heavy sigh... Don't you hate when companies do away with good products! UGH!
Can anyone recommend a really good shampoo that will remove chlorine and not fade my color out? (I know, I'm asking a lot, but I was totally spoiled by their products!)
My hair and I thank you in advance! (And my hairdresser, too, who noticed my hair is A LOT drier than before...double ugh!)

Aussie Moisturizing-tried Ultra swim, hated it and went back to using this -
smells really good, gets the chlorine out and it does not feel heavy on the hair-I use both the shampoo and conditioner
Years ago, I read in a magazine, that if you rinse your hair with soda water it would remove most of the chlorine. I remember using that for a time and it really worked. Over the years I have used different brands of shampoos and conditioners and they all have worked just fine. My hair stylist used to comment on my not having "swimmers hair" and she knows how much I swim. I have always felt that wearing a cap is the major factor for this. Most of her "swimmers hair" clients were men (although she had one women) and they did not wear caps.

It seems to me there was a long thread about this last fall, around October through November. You could probably get some more ideas from that.
I sympathise with the obsolescence thing. With me it's bike saddles. As soon as I find the rare one that is half-way comfortable, they immediately stop making it. :mad:

I like Ion's swimmers shampoo. I get it at Sally Beauty Supply. I think it helps. I like the thread - I was curious as to what others use.
