Man, it's amazing how the world has changed in the last twenty years. To "see" the results from a meet like this, you'd have to wait three months for your SW magazine to arrive and check out the results in the fine print tables in the back... Look at us now, almost instant replay...I'm sure live streaming is right around the corner:groovy: Video of Rob and Kirk's heat: www.flocasts.org/.../coverage.php I only watched a couple minutes but the flocasts video player says that the video is 19 minutes long so I guess the whole race is there.

Congratulations!! That is an awesome achievement!:groovy:
  • Mark, wish you could have been here. Knowing you, you would have really enjoyed it. Be thinking about long course....August.....Oregon....BE THERE! Rob had a great swim in the 1650. Of course his counter helped too. Here is to all those who helped count for those who swam the 1000 and 1650! We couldn't do it without you! Mark, I finally broke down and bought the Tyr fullbody suit 2 sizes smaller than what I currently have and used it this evening for the first time. WOW! I dropped a full second in the 50 Free on the lead off leg of the relay. That 27.83 puts me in striking distance of times I did in my late teens. One more second and I am there.
  • Look at us now, almost instant replay...I'm sure live streaming is right around the corner:groovy: We started streaming the NE LMSC SCY Champs this year. For the past 10 years, we've had a "poor-man's web cam" running. We also have true "real time results"... i.e., with a running scoreboard. (I call the Hy-Tek stuff "instant results" because you still need to wait until the heat or event is over.) -Rick
