It looks like Paul's strategy to go for the 45-49 100 FR record in the 1000 worked. He went out in 46.89, which betters John Smith's pending record of 47.47. • Is that a typo, or did something happen during his 3rd 50? To go from a 46ish per 100 to a 43 per 50? Just seems odd to me. Paul has swam in the lane with me a few times when he says he's tapering. Just watching how smooth he is for his pushoff is amazing. 3 open turns after the 100 begging Laura (my counter) on one end and the timers on the other end to spear me like a fat dead flounder and take me out of my misery.....
