So I have never started a thread before - but here is something I have not seen before....... My FS Pro came today - and I was told to go slowly and put it on and that it could take up to 30 minutes...... is that for real?? I am at 20 minutes and I am stuck at the hips - for real! It is the high neck body skin..... and if that zipper was about 2 inches longer I could probably get it over my hips and I wouldn't be standing here with my butt hanging out waiting for a reply. If I don't stop laughing I may split something. I know the elite swimmers don't have real hips - but does anyone out there have any suggestions and How long does it take on average to get in one? I'll miss all my events at nationals just trying to get the suit on!!!!

  • Yeah, well, I can't get into my fs pro either..... I'm calling speedo and blasting them because the woman who is suppose to be helping with sizing just gives me long pauses on the phone as she looks for answers on the speedo site. I'm a master at fitting into these things. I've got 41 inch hips and I can fit into a fastskin 29 and a faskskin 2 (30) no problem. The FS pro is another matter. I don't think it's a weight issue either.... I literally can't get the suit over the bones on my hips..... maybe if I lost and inch or two of fat I could do it but the suit is definitely more narrow. And as for the men giving advice about the pulling on one of these things..... the advice is sound but they don't know the feeling of having to get these suits around HIPS. The worst problem for men is the gut and you can suck that in. You can't change bones. I really would like to see if an elite female athlete who is 5'11" with 39 inch hips get this thing on. Ladies: 1. GO TO THE BATHROOM. 2. Cut your nails, this is an expensive piece of technology, don't risk it. 3. Put one foot in the suit while sitting down and then put the other foot in while sitting down. 4. When you inch up the fabric don't grab it with the tips of your fingers. Try to grab with your thumb and use the underside of fingers from tip to the second knuckle. I think when you start pinching the fabric this is then holes and tears occur. If the fabric is too dry as gross as this sounds lick your hands..... like when you can't turn a page in a book... boy... retailers are going to love me.... 5. As you inch up the suit do a little on one leg and then a little on the other and make sure the seams are straight as you go... They have to be straight when you start out otherwise you won't be able to fix it when you get the thing on and you'll have to start over again. 6. When you get it to your hips.... Pray... and pray hard... The next 2 minutes of your life will change you forever. Have faith. If there is a hair of wiggle room you can do it. Try to spread the top half of the suit over your back side... don't pull it up. Inch it gradually up one side and then the other. Squeeze your butt together and inch it up.... Slowly inch up the top and you should be over the hips. Hurray!!!! You're ready to compete! Now where's that return slip for the FS pro......
